Tony Gudell's powerful baritone brings the American Songbook to life in glorious Technicolor. The Gudell Jazz Syndicate is a collection of the finest jazz musicians in the DMV, offering a variety of American Jazz - from Roaring 1920's Hot Jazz to the sophisticated swing era of the 1940's and '50's.
Whether swinging Rat Pack hits and evoking the smooth styles of Sinatra, Bennett and Torme, or bringing the Prohibition era back to life with the playful riffing of Fats Waller or Cliff Edwards, Tony effortlessly delivers a fun, swanky evening harkening back to the glamorous days of the Great American Supperclubs of the 1940's & 50's or those rousing speakeasies of the 1920's & '30's.
Performing with either a jazz trio, rhythm band, intimate piano, or sweet guitar, Tony and The Syndicate swing those classic and familiar songs by Eubie Blake, the Gershwins, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin.
